CELEBRATING A NEW CHAPTER FOR THE CLEVELAND COUNTY FAMILY YMCA!
The Cleveland County Family YMCA celebrated an exciting milestone with the ribbon cutting of our new Teaching Kitchen and the groundbreaking of the Candy Arey Family Plaza at the Dover YMCA. These new spaces will create even more opportunities for our community to learn, grow, move, play, and connect.
The Teaching Kitchen will provide a welcoming space for hands-on cooking, nutrition education, and healthy living programs. The new Candy Arey Family Plaza will bring outdoor opportunities for recreation and connection, featuring a splash pad, multisport courts, and an outdoor fitness area.
Together, these projects represent an investment in the health, well-being, and future of our community—and a place where everyone can feel a sense of belonging.

The Y's Afterschool Program gives kids a safe, supportive place to learn, play, and grow after the school day ends. From homework help and hands-on activities to games, friendships, and fun, every afternoon is an opportunity to build confidence, stay active, and belong.
